Pumpkin Nights at Pioneer Farms

If you want your fall outing to feel a little more magical after dark, Pumpkin Nights is a good one to put on the calendar. The event features more than 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins arranged into nine immersive themed areas along a half-mile walking trail. Add fire shows, food, games and pumpkin carving demonstrations, and it makes for a festive night out without the jump scares.
Hill Country Pumpkins

A laid-back pumpkin patch can be just the thing for a fall afternoon, and Hill Country Pumpkins keeps things simple. Admission is free, with pumpkins, a large bounce house slide, a toddler bounce house, hayrides and a selection of complimentary fall treats and drinks. It’s located about four miles west of the “Y” on 290, making it an easy stop for a Hill Country fall day.
Sweet Berry Farm – Harvest of Fall Fun

Make a day of it at Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls. The fall season brings several mazes, hayrides, pumpkins, goat feeding, goat races, a barrel train, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, sand art and more. The farm’s Harvest of Fall Fun runs into late fall, giving families plenty of time to plan a visit.
Indian Springs Ranch Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch

Just south of Austin, Indian Springs Ranch turns its property into a fall festival filled with pumpkins, farm activities and family-friendly attractions. The 2026 season introduces timed arrival tickets on busy days, with the ranch offering a pumpkin patch, photo opportunities, animals and other activities throughout the festival.
Mama Mary's Farm & Pumpkin Patch

For a smaller farm experience, head to Mama Mary's in Creedmoor. Families can pick out pumpkins, meet the farm animals and explore activities including a hay maze, duck races, apple cannons, sand diggers and more. The farm is less than 30 minutes from Austin, making it an easy option for a fall day without a long drive.
Round Rock Pumpkin Festival & Pumpkin Patch

Round Rock’s pumpkin festival is back for its fifth annual season. The family-focused event features a giant pumpkin patch, a corn pit, barrel train, free games, food, crafts and other activities, with plenty of pumpkins to choose from. It’s also pet-friendly, so your four-legged family members can join the outing.
Sweet Eats Adventure Farm – Georgetown Fall Festival

Sweet Eats goes big for fall with a 4.5-acre themed corn maze and a Texas-sized pumpkin patch featuring more than 40 pumpkin varieties. Families can also enjoy pig races, a petting zoo, pony rides, wagon rides, apple cannons and more than 30 farm-themed activities. Friday and Saturday nights in October also bring fireworks.
Texas Pumpkin Fest

Texas Pumpkin Fest is back in Leander with a packed schedule of fall entertainment. This year brings a 60-foot Ferris wheel and 135-foot Super Slide along with the giant pumpkin patch, train rides, pony rides, petting zoo, mechanical bull, live professional wrestling, magic shows, photo spots and plenty of fall-themed activities. The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays, plus Oct. 12 and Oct. 30.
Evergreen Farms Pumpkin Hunt

Evergreen Farms puts a different spin on the traditional pumpkin patch. Instead of simply walking through a field of pumpkins, visitors can take a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields for the annual Pumpkin Hunt. The farm also offers activities such as a train ride, fishing pond, pumpkin launcher, zip line, bounce track and mazes throughout the October weekends.
Crowe's Nest Farm Family Fall Fest

Crowe’s Nest Farm is a great choice for families who want a little more than pumpkins. The working farm and animal rescue sanctuary hosts Fall Family Fun Days throughout October, with a pumpkin patch, hayrides, barrel train rides and animal demonstrations. Visitors can also explore the farm and see more than 250 farm and wildlife animals.
Uhland Fall Fest

Just south of Austin, Uhland Fall Fest brings six weekends of fall activities to a historic 15-acre farmstead. Along with pumpkins, visitors can enjoy animals, live entertainment, games, food, photo opportunities and artisan vendors. It’s a good option for families looking for a full fall festival experience rather than just a quick pumpkin stop.
Robinson Family Farm – Central TX Pumpkin Fest

If you’re up for a drive, Robinson Family Farm in Temple packs a lot into its fall festival. The pumpkin patch is joined by pig races, farm animals, zip lines, a mega slide, mini golf, axe throwing, live music, food trucks, a wine and biergarten, photo opportunities and a farm tram. Special events are scheduled throughout the season, including Halloween festivities and fireworks on Oct. 31.
Boo at the Zoo

For something a little different, trade the pumpkin patch for a spooky night at the zoo. Boo at the Zoo lets families explore Austin Zoo after dark with a spooky train ride, haunted house options, Halloween decorations and the zoo’s resident animals. Costumes are encouraged, making this one especially fun for kids.
A Few Fall Favorites That Won’t Be Back in 2026
Some familiar names from our older list have changed or are no longer running. The SoCo Pumpkin Patch, for example, has officially been discontinued for 2026 after 10 successful pumpkin seasons at Christ Austin.
The 2024 Austin Pumpkin Festival and Holiday & Harvest Pumpkin Patch were also not included in this year's roundup because we couldn't verify a 2026 fall season from current event information.
